JCI Estonia Sportsclub launched Common hobby- doing sports together with JCI Estonia friends

Initiated by JCI Tallinn members Pille Muni and Ott Pärna, the JCI Estonia Sportsclub was officially launched during the 2009 Kick-off event on January 31th. The JCI Sportsclub has been launched to raise the awareness of the JCI organization among different youth groups and in public, to increase membership and offer additional values and activities to existing members.

According to JCI Estonia President Liina Joller the JCI Sportsclub will help to attract attention and form a positive public opinion of the whole organization. The JCI Sportsclub members will be wearing unified outfits, decorated in JCI spirit and therefore be well visible. The other equally important goal of the club is to promote healthy lifestyle among Estonian youth in general by showing positive example.

The increase of JCI visibility and diversification of projects will also help to attract new partners and sponsors. The physically active young leaders has proved to be an attractive target group as the club had already three sponsors before it was even officially launched.

Through the common hobby the new member candidates can be better integrated to other JCI actions as well. According to the JCI Sportsclub director 2009 Pille Muni it is a great opportunity to unify local members and increase networking both nationally and internationally. For example the club is planning a twinning event with JCI members in Berlin while participating in the marathon there.

The JCI Estonia Sportsclub members realize that for the contemporary successful young leader smart physical exercise is essential to keep the mind and body in good balance. „Anima sana in corpore sano!“
